Polyptych with Scenes of the Life of Jesus.
Subjects painted (from clockwise towards the center): Baptism, Ascension, Resurrection, Manger, Annunciation, The Three Kings, Transfiguration, and Pentecost (larger panel).

Original Provenance: Paroquial Church of Ferreira do Alentejo, in the province of Beja, Portugal.
Date: Dated from early 16th century by stylistic comparisons of paint techniques and by dendrochronology.
Technique: Mixed painting techniques, on oak panels.
Attribution:  Attributed to Portuguese painter António Nogueira.

showing the whole retable as if observed from the back, using key colors: BLUE, for the "K" shape grooved mark in the backs of the panels; ORANGE, for the new necessary wood additions to re-structrure the integrity of the joins; GREEN, the new floating wooden keys used as reinforcement elements for the join assembly; YELLOW, the new pine additions for the restoration of the frame moldings; Original pin dowels, made of wood in RED and made of metal in  Light Blue, located in each line of butt joins.

Video showing how deteriorated some joins and edges of the oak boards were before being restored, caused by an old infestation by wood beetles and fungus activity combined.
